Like tens of thousands of Americans, you purchased an AR-15 style rifle. Perhaps you’ve been to the range a few times and fired it from the bench. Maybe you bought a red dot optic or a magnified scope and installed it. But…
- Do you really know how to run your Black Rifle?
- Can you load, reload, and clear stoppages if you needed?
- Most importantly, if you had to use your rifle to save a life, do you have the supreme confidence in your skills and gear?
What You Will Learn:
- Understanding the AR-15 rifle: disassembly, reassembly, and maintenance.
- Running the Gun: Learn how to manipulate the controls on the AR-15 like a pro.
- Keep it Running: Learn to swiftly clear the most common types of stoppages.
- Operation: Learn to engage targets from multiple positions, to include standing, prone, kneeling, strong side and support side of your body.
- Movement: Safely and effectively move and engage targets with an AR-15 in your hands.
SOTG B&B Experience
Going to a shooting school is not just about learning to shoot. One of the benefits of attending a school is getting to spend time with other people “who get it”.
The standard model for training is for everyone to stay at hotels, motels, etc. and attend class together. When the class day ends, students most often go their separate ways for dinner.
Our decades of experience have taught us that the best experience comes from a full immersion residency class; one where the students stay in the same place and take their meals together.
At Student of the Gun University our goal is to offer that experience to our students whenever possible. Our facility outside of Vernal, Utah gives students the opportunity to commune together, share delicious home cooked meals, and appreciate the beauty of the surrounding mountains.
You don’t have to stay with us, but you will be glad that you did.
