FAQ

Below are frequently asked questions about Student of the Gun University and specific classes we offer.

---

I signed up for a class but had something come up, can I get a refund?

NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED FOR ANY REASON. If you want to train, sign up for a class. If you don't, then don't. Rescheduling MIGHT be a possibility and will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. NO REFUNDS.

---

Is there a disadvantage to using cheap rounds in training?

Make sure all ammo is factory new and functions in your gun.

---

How do I login to the Home Study course?

Click the "Sign In" link at the top of the site.

---

Can I refer back to the Home Study course after attending Residency?

Absolutely! We recommend taking the Home Study course before you attend Residency and re-taking it after you attend Residency. This will help you prepare for Residency and also help you retain what you learn in Residency.

---

I have my own radio show / podcast / YouTube channel / social media following / my mom watches my videos, do I get a discount on your class?

We do not do our jobs for a discounted salary. Do you? We do offer Preferred Pricing to our Alumni attending a class at SOTGU HQ. If you are an Alumni coming to SOTGU HQ, inquire within.

---

Do I need everything on the gear list or is some of it optional?

Bring everything on the gear list, it's on there for a reason.

---

I have a local range near me, can you teach a class near me?

Email info@studentofthegun.com with details. If the range fits our specs AND you can fill the class with at least 10 students, we will travel to you. Include your phone number so we can call you.

---

Can you speak at my event?

Yes. Email jarrad@studentofthegun.com with details about the event. Include your phone number so we can call you.

---

This will be my first training class, should I practice before I come?

NO! Come as you are, free of "Training Scars". We give you access to a Home Study portion of the class before you arrive at Residency so you can feel more prepared. We have had many first-time students in our classes, you are not alone.
